In response to this dynamic landscape, we are delighted to announce the second edition of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Society (EIS) Conference. Our mission is to navigate the complex landscape of social issues, striving to unearth innovative solutions through social enterprises, startups, and social innovation, all within the context of this rapidly evolving digital age.

Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship(I2E) along with the School of Management, School of Law, School of Engineering and Technology, and School of Liberal Arts, takes great pride in organizing this landmark conference. At the heart of this conference lies a dedication to both the theory and practice of entrepreneurship and innovation. Our conference encompasses a wide array of startup initiatives and welcomes academic and practitioner contributions from diverse disciplines, including sociology , technology, education, management, psychology, economics among others.

“Innovate for Social Impact: Sustainable Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age” is a call to action. Over the course of two enriching days, our conference endeavors to kindle dialogues on entrepreneurship, social innovation, and technology.   • Gender-Inclusive Funding and Resources: Access to funding and resources plays a crucial role in entrepreneurship. This track delves into the disparities in funding faced by minority entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on women and other genders in rural and urban areas and explores solutions to bridge these gaps.

ABOUT BMU

BML Munjal University (BMU) seeks to transform higher education in India by creating a world-class, innovation-led, teaching, learning and research environment. Established in 2014 by the founders of the Hero Group. The Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I2E) at BMU is a prime driving force behind the Innovation and Entrepreneurship agenda at the university through the following.

TSEC, E-CELL, BMU was formed with the vision of giving aspiring entrepreneurs a strong foundation upon which their start-ups could be established. The TSEC Club provides a productive platform for networking and interaction. It organizes various events such as leadership lectures, workshops, B-Plan competitions, innovative games, etc that help in the development of entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. The Club provides necessary resources such as mentoring, consultancy, and seed funding to help students achieve their entrepreneurial objectives successfully. Eminent entrepreneurs enlighten the students about the important aspects of entrepreneurship to boost their entrepreneurial journey. With these motivations, the E-Cell has organised a number of successful events, including the Start-Up Exhibition, Financial Workshops led by industrialists like Vinay Nagia, an event on the stock market in collaboration with StockPe, Growth Mindset Workshops, and many others.

The incubator hub at the campus with contemporary facilities required for supporting the start-up ventures. BMU has set up an ACIC -BMU foundation to Create an ecosystem to nurture ‘ENTREPRENEURS’ who are innovative, tenacious, ethical, and have a great zeal to create economic value and societal impact through their ventures. The ACIC at BMU is supported by Niti Aayog and is a pre incubation facility as envisaged in the ACIC charter set by Niti Aayog.

Propel is the BMU incubator which offers incubation to Full-time/Part-time BMU students (current/alumni) intending to nurture their business ideas. While in incubation, these students not only get to avail the various facilities of the incubator but also interact and learn from the experiences of other entrepreneurs. They get to meet their mentors during various mentoring sessions and learn the nitty-gritty of incorporating a company, validating a business model, formulating a go-to-market strategy, building a core team, and many more.

INSTITUTION INNOVATION COUNCIL (IIC) was established in the collaboration with MHRD Innovation Cell at AICTE. The council provides the operational leadership for innovation and entrepreneurship activities being conducted among the students and faculty of BMU.

EIS was borne out of the conviction that the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country has been catalyzed by policy and practice, and the role of academia has to be strengthened in the growth of the ecosystem. EIS aims to be the platform for this dialogue between the triad of policymakers, investors, and academics.

The EIS conference offers a comprehensive platform encompassing a wide spectrum of startup initiatives and extends contributions from diverse disciplines, including sociology, technology, education, management, psychology, and economics among others.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • All contributions must adhere to any one reference style. (APA, Chicago, Harvard, etc.)
  • The paper should have the formatting of 12 font size in Times New Roman and 1.5 spacing.
  • An initial abstract of not more than 500 words to be submitted
  • After abstract acceptance, an extended abstract of not more than 2000 words is to be submitted.
  • Paper proposal in PDF/MS word format.
  • The title of the paper should not exceed 15 words.
  • Minimum three(3) and maximum five(5) keywords to be provided
  • The corresponding author and all co-authors should be listed in the submission along with their affiliation./li>
  • A maximum of three (3) proposals, either as an author or a co-author, may be submitted.
  • Case studies, poster presentations, and perspective papers are highly encouraged as a part of the submission for the conference.
