    Amarnath currently teaches chemistry, materials science, organic electronics, energy data analysis, energy storage systems and environmental studies. His research interests include materials chemistry with a focus on organic electronic materials. His interest also lies in organometallics, catalysis and cheminformatics. Currently, he mentors BMU Environment club. Previously, he mentored the Science and Technology appreciation club. His current interest in teaching is to develop new experiments/methods which enable students to appreciate the topics they learn in the classroom.
