Mr Anubhav Raj Shekhar graduated with a B.A. LL.B.(Hons.) degree from National Law Institute University(NLIU) at Bhopal and holds an LL.M. with specialisation in Law and Development from Azim Premji University.
After graduating from NLIU, he was offered an in-house position with Wipro Ltd., where he contributed as a transactional lawyer handling communications and consultancy contracts. To follow his academic pursuits, he parted with the corporate job and joined Azim Premji University as an LL.M. candidate. Mr Anubhav Raj Shekhar’s research interests include Law and Religion, Access to Justice and the Right to Information. His LL.M. thesis gave a critique of the Essential Religious Practices test, which is used as a standard by the constitutional courts in India to determine the scope/content of religion deserving constitutional protection.
Before joining BMU, Mr Anubhav Raj Shekhar was an Assistant Professor of Law in Bengaluru. He has experience teaching core courses on Constitutional Law and Criminal Procedure to undergraduate students. Additionally, he took an elective on Right to Information.
Mr Anubhav Raj Shekhar is passionate about teaching and developing new methods to ensure comprehensive skill-based learning.
