Dear colleagues and fellow critters,
We are living in the strangest of times. Never before has the critical work we do become so meaningful and necessary. Covid pandemic and climate change continue to ravage lives, livelihoods and habitats - even as capitalist, racialist and neocolonial forces remain entrenched, reinventing themselves in ever new forms.
This expanding recognition of a need to change the business as usual, has prompted critical academia to introspect and take cognizance of the multiple pathways of doing, thinking and practising critique: from revisiting work and labour processes under new techno-economic regimes, to recentering state, neoloiberal modernity and organization in the context of de and recolonising mechanisms of othering, surveillance, auditing, ranking and publishing.
We invite you to join us at the 12th ICMS conference focused on Diversalising and Intern(ation)alising CMS: Places, Spaces, Bodies and Praxistical Theories. We hope that this conference is a platform for us to work in solidarity with each other as critical academics in neoliberal states with managarialised universities, while providing us with an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to explore, understand, appreciate and learn from each other so that we may build better worlds for all of us.
Best Wishes
Dr. Payal Kumar & Dr. Nimruji Jammulamadaka
