Prof K J George has over 26 years of experience in the area of Retail, Sales, Business Development and Teaching. He was an Industry practitioner for 16 years; last he was Head Marketing and Retail Operations for a Rural Retail organization. The core areas he has worked were Store Operation, New Store development, Franchising and Marketing.
For the last 10 years he has worked with premier B-Schools across India. He has worked at TAPMI, Great Lakes- Gurgaon, Welingkar, BIMTECH and School of Inspired Leadership. His teaching experience is in the area of Retail, Integrated Marketing Communication, Rural Marketing and Marketing Management. He has held senior administrative role across the campuses he has worked. His core responsibilities included Corporate connect both for Final Placements and Summer Internship and Marketing Executive Education Programs.
Prof George believes that it is not only important to engage with the Corporates using different platforms such as Conclaves, Leadership series, Conferences and Seminars but it is also imperative that the students are prepared so that they are Industry ready. Keeping this view in mind he has launched Student’s Corporate readiness program in the Campuses he has worked in wherein they are trained in the areas of Group discussion, Personal Interviews, Aptitude test to name a few. This is to ensure the students Corporate Readiness.
His areas of research are Customer Intention to Complain and Store Atmospherics. He is pursuing his PhD and the same is titled “Customer Intention to Complain Online Retail-Scale development”.
