Leadership Team

Mohit Bawa is the Dean of Student Welfare and the Department of Administration. He has over 34 years of rich cross-cultural experience in Business Operations, Business Development, Strategic & Tactical Planning, Logistics & Procurement, Security, Administration & Facilities, and Liaison at the top level in India and abroad. Prior to joining BMU, he was engaged with the Quality Group, Tanzania, East Africa, as Chief Operations Officer. Before that, he was engaged with ABG Group, an Indian MNC, in Sierra Leone, West Africa, as Vice President of Administration to set up a greenfield Bauxite mining operation and, before that, with Rolta India Ltd. as Vice President of Defence Sales.

He has served the Indian Army in its elite arm, the Cavalry (Armoured Corps), for nearly two and a half decades. He has observed delegations to the United Nations Iraq Kuwait Observation Mission. While in service in the Army, he steered the implementation of various community development projects like the construction of school buildings, distribution of foodstuff and seeds for agriculture, conducted many medical camps, assisted the civil administration in emergency conditions in Punjab, J&K and the Northeastern part of India.

Bawa is a B. Tech (Mechanical Engineering) and has completed his Post Graduation in Defence & Strategic Studies from Madras University.
