    Here at BMU, Mechanical engineering education aims at developing student acumen with critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop and design interesting products and systems; learn analytical tools to achieve the design and manufacturing constraints; expand understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes to develop products; build collaboration and communication skills with teamwork to bring ideas and products to market. This holistic learning enables students to become well-rounded professionals and entrepreneurs for management and leadership roles in the industry and society in their career journey.

    The students work on hardware and software technologies available in well-equipped labs and workshops to provide integrated learning with theory and concepts. Given the focus on project-based research-led learning and solving real-world problems, students get hands-on experience in the application of concepts of mechanical engineering to solve a variety of problems and create interesting products and applications.

    An all-round approach to hone their problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills equips students with the knowledge and confidence to excel in any industry.

    In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, BML Munjal University is fully operational with their Day Scholar facility for their B.Tech programme from 2020. Buses will ply from Delhi, Gurgaon & Faridabad. This will be available at an additional cost.

    BMU’s application-oriented course trains students to get hands-on experience in designing and operating various machines. This enables them to apply the engineering concepts they learn in classrooms to real-life situations.       Applicants will have to go through the following process:

      • Submission of completed application form with all relevant enclosures and application fee
      • Review of applications and short-listing of candidates
      • Personal interview
      • Admission decision taken by the selection committee

      The decision to short-list applicants for a personal interview and group discussion and make a formal offer of admission thereafter will be taken by the selection committee. The committee’s decision in this regard is final and binding.

    The B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering course offered at BML Munjal University is designed to equip students with a unique blend of skill sets in addition to the core engineering knowledge and skills.

    School of Engineering & Technology (SoET) is the department which facilitates completion of B.Tech programme for all students. It also ensures that the students are transformed into well-rounded, industry-ready individuals by providing them various types of training and opportunities for co-curricular activities along with their study programme.

    BML Munjal University offers various degree programmes. These programmes and other training modules along with various co-curricular activities are provided by the School of Engineering & Technology. SoET is a part of BML Munjal University.

    Currently, Bachelor’s of Technology (B.Tech) programme is provided to students in the School of Engineering & Technology (SoET).

    There are five specializations offered with B.Tech ME stream – Automobile Engineering, Robotics & Automation, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Internet of Things.

    • Andhra Pradesh / Telangana / Tamil Nadu / Kerala state board candidates applying for the B.Tech Programme must secure a minimum aggregate score of 70% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
    • CBSE / ICSE / ISC and candidates from other boards applying for the B.Tech Programme must secure a minimum aggregate score of 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
    • Valid score of JEE Mains.
    • Candidates can also apply by taking the BMUE3 Test.
    • SAT or ACT scores are also accepted for the B.Tech Programme.
    • Class 12th board examination score accepted for admission and scholarship.

    The B.Tech programme at the BML Munjal University is spread across 4 years and divided into 8 semesters.

    BMU offers 100% International Exposure to all students across all programmes. For this, the University has partnered with Top Ranked Universities from across the world including Imperial College London, London School of Economics and Political Science, University of Warwick, UC, Berkeley and many more.
    The immersion programme would be part of the academic studies at BMU – this would be graded, and part of the overall credits offered for that particular programme.
    Students should have valid passport to be a part of the programme.

    Throughout the duration of the programme, students will gain invaluable practical experience by applying this interdisciplinary and integrated learning to real-world problems. This will be made possible by way of Practice School, an internship concept. This initiative enable students to undergo meaningful work experience – over a period of four years. Students spend around 28 weeks, or 22% of their total contact hours, interning with a cross-section of industry. Practice School internships are courses with credit units and the grade so earned will be included in the cumulative GPA.

    Yes, the final placement is provided to all eligible students. Some of the top companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Hero Motocorp, Samsung, Synopsys Cultgear, TCS, Mahindra etc (as of June 2020) have already recruited our students so far.
