Breaking Down the VITEEE Exam Format

This is an MCQ-based 2-hour 30-minute-long online exam which consists of a total of 125 questions:
- Maths/Biology (40 questions)
- Physics (35 questions)
- Chemistry (35 questions)
- Aptitude (10 questions)
- English (5 questions)
You will receive +1 mark for each correct response, and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.
Further to this, here is some important information about this exam you should know:
- The question paper will be in English only.
- The fee towards the application and subsequent counselling is non-refundable.
- The method of Equi-percentile is adopted for the rank list preparation.
Who Can Apply for the VITEEE Exam? Understanding the Eligibility Criteria

- Nationality
- Eligible: Resident Indian, NRI, OCI, PIO.
- NRI: Apply via the NRI application form.
- Foreign applicants: Apply via the International application form.
- Age Limit
- Candidates must be a maximum of 22 years old as of 1st July of the admission year.
- Proof: Class 10 / SSC / High School certificate (original required at counselling).

- Qualifying Examination
- Candidate must have already passed or be appearing in the:
- 10+2 (CBSE, ISC, State Board, etc.)
- Intermediate / Pre-University
- GCE A-Level (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka)
- Cambridge High School Certificate / IB Diploma
- NIOS Senior Secondary (min. 5 subjects)
- Equivalent Class 12 exam (with equivalence certificate if outside India)
- Only regular, full-time, formal education is accepted.
- Multiple board exams in the same year 🡪 not eligible.
- For Indian nationals, VITEEE is mandatory (unless cancelled due to unavoidable reasons).
- Qualifying Marks
- General category: 60% aggregate in PCM/PCB.
- SC/ST categories, J&K, Ladakh, North-Eastern states: Min. 50% aggregate in PCM/PCB (with proof).

- PCM/PCMB (MPCEA): Eligible for all B.Tech programmes.
- PCB/PCMB (BPCEA or PCB with MPCEA): Eligible only for select programmes:
