- Lawrence Liang graduated from NLSIU, and was a Professor and Founding Dean of the School of Legal and Socio Political Studies at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi. He co-founded the Alternative Law Forum, Bengaluru as well as the Center for Internet and Society, and works on the intersection of law, culture, and technology. He has published widely on intellectual property, media law and constitutional law in scholarly books and journals. He has been a visiting scholar and visiting faculty at Yale University, Columbia University, Michigan University, NLSIU, Nalsar, Bilkent University, amongst others. He was awarded the Infosys Prize for Social Sciences in 2017.
