    Idrees Kanth is a senior Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Studies. He was previously associated with the Leiden Institute for Area Studies (LIAS) and the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS), Leiden. His areas of interest are modern and early modern Kashmir and South Asian history, Islam, Global history, Peasant studies, besides Archives and Public histories.
