When I was 10 years old, a simple yet unforgettable incident altered my perspective on the world. While eating ice cream on a sunny afternoon, a little girl came up to me with timid eyes and asked for something to eat. My heart sank when I saw her, and without hesitation, I turned to my parents, asking if they could buy her some food. It wasn’t a grand gesture by any means, but the joy and gratitude on her face left an imprint on me. That small act of kindness filled me with a sense of joy I didn’t fully understand at the time.

I joined the National Social Service (NSS) club in my first year of university, initially just to meet people and do something meaningful. At orientation, seniors shared inspiring stories about health camps, cleanliness drives, and donation events. It all sounded interesting, but I didn’t realise how deeply it would impact me until my first event, the Drishti Eye Camp at a local school.

I have known SAVERA since my 9th grade—you may ask how? My sister was the president in 2019, and she was my biggest inspiration. Watching her lead and seeing how much the kids and volunteers adored her was truly heartwarming. That’s when I realised that no other club creates an impact every single day like SAVERA does.

Some years ago, I was on a bus ride that I’ll never forget. The heat was unbearable, pressing down on everyone like a heavy blanket. Kids sat quietly, wiping sweat from their faces. Among them was a little girl, maybe six years old, clutching a teddy bear. I started talking to her, and for a moment, the discomfort of the journey began to fade. She told me about her teddy, whispering to it, “It’s too hot.”

Growing up in Agra in a family of government officials, I was raised with values of discipline, stability, and service. While I deeply respected this path, I felt a strong urge to carve my own way, one that would allow me to make an impact beyond conventional boundaries. From a young age, I was fascinated by leadership and innovation, and this passion led me to pitch my first idea in class 11, setting the foundation for my journey into the corporate world.
