Bini comes with 15 years of work experience in the communications and development sector. She has worked on multiple thematic areas including gender, livelihood, adult education, public health, and sustainability. She has worked across India leading rural newspaper expansion in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Public Health programming in Andhra Pradesh and researched the intersection of femised care labour and economic migration in Kerala.
In her most recent role, she led the country operations of a leading international non-profit working on sustainable supply chain practices across multiple commodities. Here she worked on building sustainable production practices in India which included improving labour rights and safety on factory floor, as well as sustainable agriculture research and practice in India.
She has Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University; a PG Diploma in Film and TV Studies from Xavier Institute of Communication, Mumbai; and a Master In Law and Diplomacy from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Massachusetts where she cross registered at the Harvard Kennedy School for one semester.
