Policy Conclave 2026 Encourages Dialogue, Creativity, and Collective Action

The conclave brought together diverse voices to explore how public policy is shaped through discussion, collaboration, and real-world engagement. Through immersive simulations, creative communication challenges, and climate-focused initiatives, participants experienced policy as a dynamic and people-centric process.

Policy Conclave 2026 at BML Munjal University concluded with a day of thought-provoking discussions, collaborative learning, and creative engagement. The event opened with the Policy Assembly, a simulation of democratic policymaking anchored by a keynote address from Dr Mihir Shah, who emphasised the need for humility, deep listening, and grounded engagement in policymaking. Participants representing multiple stakeholder groups deliberated on the question of whether social media should be banned for children under 16, demonstrating how policy evolves through dialogue, negotiation, and diverse perspectives.

The conclave continued with the Policy Jam, where student teams translated complex issues such as air pollution, ecological sustainability, and urban challenges into compelling public narratives. Guided by feedback from an expert jury comprising Harpreet Singh Arora, Akshay Upreti, Shivani, and Jishnu Dasgupta, participants explored the importance of clarity, creativity, and ethical responsibility in public communication. The day concluded with Climate Jam, organised in collaboration with Swarathma and Rainmatter Foundation, blending music, climate action, and grassroots engagement to create a vibrant space for collective expression and participation.
