BMU and Ideabaaz Launch Women in Tech Accelerator to Empower Women Entrepreneurs
Propel Incubator at BML Munjal University, in collaboration with Ideabaaz, launched the Women in Tech Accelerator Programme, bringing together leaders from industry, policy, and the startup ecosystem to explore ways of enabling more women-led ventures to grow and scale.
The programme was launched in the presence of Ms. Anna Roy, Principal Economic Advisor, NITI Aayog, and Mission Director, Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), who highlighted the importance of creating an enabling ecosystem for women entrepreneurs. Discussions throughout the event focused on strengthening access to mentorship, funding, strategic networks, and market opportunities—critical enablers for translating entrepreneurial ambition into sustainable businesses.
A recurring theme across the sessions was the growing contribution of women-led enterprises to innovation, employment, and economic growth. Speakers emphasised that expanding opportunities for women entrepreneurs is essential to building a more diverse and resilient innovation ecosystem. Mr. Mudit Kumar, Co-Founder and COO, Ideabaaz, reinforced this vision by highlighting the need for platforms that provide founders with visibility, meaningful connections, and pathways for growth.
The initiative also brought together the strengths of Propel Incubator at BMU, which has supported over 110 startups over the past five years, and Ideabaaz, whose first season showcased 86 startups. By fostering collaboration across academia, industry, and policy, the programme reflects BMU’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurs who create solutions with lasting social and economic impact.
