BML Munjal University [BMU] has been at the forefront of imparting quality higher education in the field of science, engineering, technology, and management since its inception and has introduced flexible and innovative curriculum in higher education. Within a short span of time, it has developed its School of Engineering and Technology with world class infrastructure, global international linkages with academic universities and technology partners, highly qualified and experienced faculty from international and Indian institutes and a strong technology and industry orientation for all its programs.
Having recognized the need to develop professionals with strong foundations in science, mathematics and engineering, School of Engineering and Technology at BMU now proposes to launch a unique B. Tech. Engineering Science program. In terms of basic structure, for the first four semesters, students are taught courses in basic sciences like Maths, Physics, Chemistry and different engineering disciplines to develop strong fundamentals for their future specializations. Based on their interest and market demand, at the end of the third semester, students are to choose their specialization to enhance their knowledge and skills in selected specialization. They will choose a specialization in one of the following domains: Environmental Science, Geospatial Science, Materials Science, and Nano Science.
Proposed program for B. Tech. in Engineering Science is developed in line with the philosophy and structure of 2019-20 B. Tech. degree programs offered by SoET BMU.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, BML Munjal University is fully operational with their Day Scholar facility for their B.Tech programme from 2020. Buses will ply from Delhi, Gurgaon & Faridabad. This will be available at an additional cost.
Career Prospect
In addition to the opportunities directly related to preferred areas of specialization, graduates of B. Tech. Engineering Science Program will also be able to work in many different sectors, such as:
- Research, Engineering, and Manufacturing
- Energy, Environment, and Sustainable Development
- IT, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, and Consulting
Graduates of the program will have the exposure and skills required to build a career of choice varying from scientists (pursuing fundamental sciences) to data analysts (practicing as professionals). In addition, graduates shall also be equipped enough to pursue their entrepreneurial aspiration in any interdisciplinary field of interest.
- Duration : 4 years
- Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent and valid JEE 2021/2020 score/ SAT (College Board)/ BMU-SAT Score
- Admission Process
Applicants will have to go through the following process:
- Submission of completed application form with all relevant enclosures and application fee
- Review of applications based on JEE 2021/2020 scores/ SAT (College Board), and BMU-SAT Score
- The BMU selection committee processes the final admission decisions
The evaluation of an applicant’s credentials and a decision to make a formal offer of admission thereafter will be taken by the selection committee. The committee’s decision in this regard will be final and binding.

FAQs
- Andhra Pradesh / Telangana / Tamil Nadu / Kerala state board candidates applying for the B.Tech Programme must secure a minimum aggregate score of 70% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
- CBSE / ICSE / ISC and candidates from other boards applying for the B.Tech Programme must secure a minimum aggregate score of 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
- Valid score of JEE Mains.
- Candidates can also apply by taking the BMUE3 Test.
- SAT or ACT scores are also accepted for the B.Tech Programme.
- Class 12th board examination score accepted for admission and scholarship.
The immersion programme would be part of the academic studies at BMU – this would be graded, and part of the overall credits offered for that particular programme.
Students should have valid passport to be a part of the programme.
