Asif Iqbal is an experienced educator and researcher having specialization in digital communication, signal processing, and machine learning. He holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering and an M.Tech. in Digital Communication from RGPV Bhopal and Ph.D(pursuing) from BML Munjal University. He currently serves as a Faculty Associate at BML Munjal University (BMU), Gurugram, where he blends over two decades of academic expertise with cutting-edge research in biomedical signal analysis.
His primary research focus lies in healthcare and artificial intelligence, specifically EEG Signals Classification using Machine Learning. His ongoing doctoral work targets Brain Signals to Text Classification using ML & Genetic Programming. His research is featured in top-tier publications including ACM Computing USA, IEEE, Journal of Healthcare Engineering (Wiley), IGI, Benthem Science and CRC Press. He has presented his work at various IEEE and Springer-sponsored conferences at prestigious institutions. He also holds a registered Design Patent with the IPO, United Kingdom.
At BMU, his teaching involves core and advanced courses, including Machine Learning, Linear Integrated Circuits, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Communication, Digital Electronics & Logic Design, and Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
He recently served as a Session Chair at BMU Stelmar 2026 and is a recipient of the prestigious Guru Samman Award 2015 by Patrika News, Rajasthan. and frequently contributed to institute/university administration in various responsibilities like department head, exam superintendent, project coordinator and observer in many competitive exams conducted by PEB Bhopal.

- Was on HOD position in Electronics and Comm. Engineering at SDITS Khandwa (M.P). Apart from teaching I was involved in institutional planning and policy making during the tenure.

- Nodal Officer at SDITS, Khandwa for ARIIA under IIC, which is an AICTE, Delhi initiative.
- Deputed as an Observer in various professional entarance exams conducted by PEB (Professional Examination Board) Bhopal (M.P)
- Was Project Coordinator of SIT (Satellite Interactive Terminal) at SDITS Khandwa. The project was a joined work of ISRO Bangalore and RGPV Bhopal for connecting all the engineering colleges of M.P through satellite link.
- Played an instrumental role in conduction of examinations for RGPV Bhopal at SDITS Khandwa, as an Superintendent of Exam for more than 10 Years.
