Dr. Amiya Kumar Dash is Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at BML Munjal University. He has experience of more than seventeen years in the fields of teaching, research and industry.

He completed his B.E Engineering from U.C.E. Burla (now VSSUT, Burla) in 1998. He was awarded his M.Tech from N.I.T. Rourkela in 2006 and completed his PhD degree from N.I.T. Rourkela in 2012.

He has been involved in industrial consultancy projects with JSPL, JITPL, NPC, and Tata Refractories Ltd Krosaki, among others. He has also filed a patent for a product to be used for fracture fixation of the human bone. He has co-authored a book on Bio-Mechanics.

His areas of interest are Machine Design, Solid Mechanics, Dynamics of Machine, Bio-Mechanics and Mechanical System Design. His research has been published in international and national journals and also in international conference proceedings. He has published, attended and presented research papers in several national and international conferences in India and abroad. He has attended several workshops and Faculty Development Programmes and has been the convener of national conferences and organizing member of international conferences. He is interested in current affairs, music, traveling and environmental issues
