Her doctoral research focused on developing a model-driven framework for mapping and quantifying non-functional requirements.
Her work lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, image processing, and decision sciences, with applications in Urban Landscape Intelligence, Sustainable Spatial Planning, and AI-based Climate Modeling. Recent research integrates machine learning and remote sensing for urban growth analysis, green space dynamics, and sustainability assessments, generating data-driven insights for environmental and urban resilience. Her expertise encompasses fuzzy modeling, neutrosophic sets, multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), blockchain, machine learning, and nature-inspired algorithms such as Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Genetic Algorithms.
Dr. Khatter has an extensive publication record in international journals and conferences, contributing to both theoretical advances and applied AI-driven research.
A technology enthusiast and seasoned programmer, she is an Oracle Certified Java SE 6 Programmer and has served as a corporate trainer for Java technologies, web services, and scripting languages. Her industry experience spans SAP ABAP programming, ERP project management, and Android mobile app development training.
In academia, she emphasises technical placement training, problem-solving, and computational thinking, preparing students for professional and research-oriented roles. She applies Agile methodologies for project management, particularly in innovation-driven initiatives and developing entrepreneurial ecosystems within higher education.
