Dr. Pooja Choudhary is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering and Technology at BML Munjal University, Gurugram. She earned her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, with fellowship from Sir Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. She holds an M.Tech. in VLSI Design from Banasthali Vidyapith, where she carried out her dissertation at the IC Design Group, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, and a B.E. (Hons.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), Pune, and has qualified the UGC-NET in Electronic Sciences. She is an AWS Academy Educator. She has also been selected as a Mentor under the National Mission for Mentoring (NMM) by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Dr. Choudhary has over 14 years of combined academic, research, and industry experience, including her tenure as a System Engineer at IBM India Pvt. Ltd. Her teaching and research expertise encompasses VLSI Design, Low-Power VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Approximate Computing.
Her research focuses on the design of energy-efficient digital hardware for IoT and edge computing applications, with particular emphasis on approximate arithmetic circuits, FPGA-based architectures, AI-enabled embedded systems, and smart sensing technologies. She has published research papers in reputed international journals and conferences published by IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and other leading publishers. She also holds several granted and published patents in the domains of smart agriculture, IoT, healthcare, AI-enabled systems, and electronics manufacturing.
Dr. Choudhary has successfully supervised M.Tech. dissertations and has served as the Principal Investigator for a project funded by the MSME, GoI. She has also received BMU seed funding, and one of her research projects is supported by industry. In addition, she serves as a reviewer for reputed international journals and transactions, including those published by IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier. She is a member of IEEE, IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), and the Institution of Engineers (India) [IE(I)]. Her research interests include VLSI Design, Approximate Computing, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things, and Edge AI.
She is committed to outcome-based education, experiential learning, innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary research, with the goal of preparing students to address real-world engineering challenges through engaging teaching and meaningful mentorship.
