BMU Student Launches AI-Powered Electronics Design Platform, Helektron.ai
BML Munjal University proudly celebrates the launch of Helektron.ai, an AI-powered electronics design platform developed by Munindra Jain (B.Tech ECE, Batch of 2022–26) and co-founder Ujjwal Tiwari. Officially launched on 21 May 2026, the platform aims to make electronic circuit design faster, smarter, and more accessible for students, researchers, innovators, and professional engineers.
What began as a classroom initiative has evolved into a promising deep-tech startup, Helektron Innovations, supported by ACIC-BMU Foundation and backed by financial assistance under the MeitY GENESIS EIR 2.0 programme, Government of India. By leveraging artificial intelligence, Helektron.ai enables users to describe their design requirements in natural language and generate optimised circuit designs, significantly simplifying the electronics development process.
The platform features three operational modes—Cell, Hive, and Swarm—offering varying levels of speed, depth, and reasoning to support diverse design needs. A live demonstration during the launch showcased the platform’s capabilities, generating enthusiastic responses from attendees.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Maneek Kumar, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology, and addressed by Dr. Davinder Singh, CEO, ACIC-BMU Foundation, who highlighted the importance of institutional support in nurturing innovation-led entrepreneurship.
BMU played a pivotal role in the startup’s journey by providing mentorship, academic guidance, entrepreneurial support, and access to industry networks. Faculty members from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering actively supported the founders through technical mentorship and encouragement. The success of Helektron.ai reflects BMU’s commitment to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem where students are empowered to transform ideas into impactful, technology-driven solutions.
