Students Driving Social Impact Through SANKALP
SANKALP, undertaken by the MBA final-year students of BML Munjal University, is a structured experiential learning initiative that bridges classroom insight with on-ground entrepreneurial engagement. Working closely with women entrepreneurs in semi-urban areas, students identify, analyse, and address real challenges within small business ventures—turning academic learning into meaningful, real-world impact.
Aligned with the larger goal of advancing gender equality, the initiative contributes to strengthening the economic participation and decision-making capacity of grassroots women entrepreneurs. The projects focus on improving business visibility, financial awareness, customer engagement, and developing sustainable solutions that support long-term growth in informal and semi-formal sectors.
The final assessment of SANKALP projects was conducted on 11 March 2026, with 180 students successfully completing their work under the guidance of Prof. Deepti Sharma and Prof. Bhanu Pratap Singh Choudhary. Organised into 18 groups, students collaborated with assigned entrepreneurs managing small-scale ventures, ensuring focused and contextualised problem-solving.
The outcomes have been tangible, ranging from increased monthly revenues and formal business registrations to stronger digital presence, adoption of digital payments, structured record-keeping, and improved customer engagement. Most importantly, the initiative has helped build confidence among women entrepreneurs, enabling them to navigate and grow their businesses with greater agency.
