A B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a four-year undergraduate engineering degree programme that provides in-depth knowledge about computer science principles and their applications. Students who study B.Tech CSE gain practical skills in programming, algorithms, and data structures.
A B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) opens doors to a wide range of career paths, particularly in the IT sector, with opportunities in software development, data science, cybersecurity, and more. Graduates can also explore careers in AI, IoT, cloud computing, blockchain, and emerging technologies.
Yes, B.Tech CSE is an excellent career option. As a B.Tech CSE graduate, you can explore diverse career paths such as software development, data science, AI, cybersecurity, database administration, networking, system administration, IT consulting, game development, and more.
The highest salary package received by a B.Tech CSE graduate at BML Munjal University stands at 32.9 LPA, reflecting the strong industry connections and career opportunities available to students.
To get admission into the B.Tech CSE programme, you must first meet the eligibility criteria, which include passing Class 12th with a minimum of 60% marks in each of four subjects: Physics, Mathematics, English and any one subject out of Biology, Chemistry, and Technical Vocational subjects. Next, you must fill out the admission form and prepare well for the entrance exams like JEE / SAT / CUET or BMU-SAT (BMU’s Aptitude Test).
The tuition fee for the B.Tech CSE programme at BML Munjal University is approximately ₹3,80,000 per year, bringing the total payable amount for the entire 4-year duration to ₹15,20,000 only.
At BMU, the CSE program offers specialized tracks in IoT (Internet of Things), Cybersecurity, Data Science, and AI to equip students with domain-specific expertise.
The duration of the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering is 4 years, divided into a total of eight semesters.
Yes. The Career Guidance & Development Center Team (CGDC) at BMU helps students in placements and internships. Through industry collaborations and practice schools, BMU offers students real-world experiences and industry-specific knowledge.
BML Munjal University’s students have secured summer internships at companies like Siemens, HCLTech, Commvault, Genpact, Datamatics, and many others.
Career readiness starts during year one with Practice School I. Students start to understand and immerse themselves in the industry and the culture of the working world. Courses like “The Joy of Engineering” are designed to stimulate problem-solving and team-building activities early on.
As students continue, Practice School II and III provide additional hands-on experiences through internships and full-semester projects, ranking them for pre-placement offers to various employers. After completing the programme, the Career Guidance and Development Cell (CGDC) supports placements with top recruiters like Commvault Systems, Deloitte, Hero MotoCorp, MG Motors, KPMG India, and Flipkart.
Internships normally follow as students develop academic depth throughout their programme. First-year students are quickly and early on in their university experience working on hands-on projects and industry-simulated tasks (Practice School I, dedicated labs, and project-based learning). All of these practical experiences allow first-year students to apply their learning practically. These experiences can be seen as a precursor to formal internship experiences in subsequent years.
Faculty and industry experts provide mentorship throughout the learning journey from classroom discussions to Practice School II & III and beyond. The academic plan provides students with equal opportunity to hone their technical knowledge, communication, and professional skills. Many of the same tools and technologies that are specific to disciplines (research) are also used in Practice School to make sure that when internship and placement opportunities arise, they are ready.
