    B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering

    Welcome to the BTech CSE eligibility page of BML Munjal University (BMU). Here, students will find detailed information they require about the BTech in Computer Science eligibility in order to pursue this programme. The BTech Computer Science and Engineering programme at BMU is designed to nurture students with a passion for technology and equip them with the necessary skills to thrive in the dynamic world of Computer Science and Engineering.

    To enrol oneself in the  BTech Computer Science and Engineering programme at BMU, candidates are required to fulfil B tech CSE eligibility criteria. These include completing the 10+2 examination from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Additionally, candidates should have studied Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational as an optional subject. The eligibility criteria also include a minimum aggregate score requirement, with 60% being the threshold for general category candidates and 55% for reserved category candidates. Admissions to the programme are based on performance in entrance examinations like JEE Main, SAT, or BMU-SAT, followed by a personal interview. The detailed B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering eligibility criteria are as follows:

    Avail up to 100% scholarship

    • Applicants appearing in their class 12 examinations through any of the Boards affiliated to the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) or National or International Boards recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are eligible to apply. Candidates studying under Indian Boards should have a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (or equivalent scores) in four subjects, viz. Physics, Mathematics, English and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, and Technical Vocational subjects.
    • For Cambridge/lGCSE examinations and examinations of the approved British Examination bodies, candidates with a minimum of five subjects and having Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics at the A-Level and English at AS-Level will be eligible to apply.
    • For the lB Career Related programme (IBCP), Students for Engineering or Medical Strand graduating with 3 DP subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or other similar subjects)with at least 1 subject at HL level and minimum 3 points in each DP subject, Career related Study with at least 3 subjects, IBCP qualification with core components requirement awarded by lB are eligible to apply.
    • Applicants are required to have completed one of the following entrance examinations/tests: 
    • JEE (Main), with a minimum of 60 percentile. Students with aggregate score of 75% in class 12 but JEE (Main) percentile above 50% may be considered.
    • For SAT / BMU-SAT / CUET as per scores specified from time to time.
    • Candidates are advised to appear for BMU-SAT in case results of tests have not been announced or are not available.
    • Applicants who are Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRls)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) must have passed the qualifying examination or equivalent from any system of education as recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with a minimum aggregate of 60% or equivalent and subjects as defined for candidates intending to join professional courses.
    • Under Early Admissions, students can apply even if their test scores or class 12 results are awaited. In such cases, BMU will extend a Provisional Offer to selected candidates who are in class 12, and the final offer is subject to verification of class 12 results and test scores by BMU.

    Can I Do BTech in Computer Science after 12th?

    Yes, as per B.Tech CSE eligibility, one must have completed 12th to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science. So you can do BTech in Computer Science after 12th. 

    What is the eligibility for Computer Science in BTech?

    The eligibility for CSE demands that the candidate must have completed their 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Additionally, they should have studied Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational as an optional subject. 

    Can I do BTech CSE without Maths?

    No,  under the  B.Tech Computer Science qualification requirement, Maths is a  mandatory subject.

    Can I do BTech CSE without computer science?

    No, as Computer Science is the core subject in BTech CSE.

    Can a PCB student do Computer Science Engineering?

    Yes, as per CSE Eligibility, a PCB student can do Computer Science Engineering.

    Is PCM compulsory for B tech CSE?

    No, PCM is not compulsory for B Tech CSE, but PCM students do get an edge in B Tech CSE.

    Can I do CSE without Physics?

    No, Physics is mandatory for CSE.

    Can a Commerce student do BTech CSE?

    No, a Commerce student cannot do BTech CSE.

    Is a Bio student eligible for BTech CSE?

    Yes, a Bio student is eligible for BTech CSE. 

    Can we take B.Sc Computer Science after 12th Commerce?

    No, we cannot take B.Sc Computer Science after 12th Commerce.
