Crafted together by Niva Bupa Health Insurance and BML Munjal University (BMU) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), Udaan is a health insurance career programme for graduates across India, designed to turn young talent from Tier 2, 3, 4 and 5 towns into confident, industry-ready sales professionals.
This isn’t a classroom-only certification, but it’s a complete Hire → Train → Deploy (HTD) journey. Selected candidates are hired first, then trained through structured classroom learning, and finally deployed into paid, on-the-job roles with Niva Bupa. By the time a candidate completes the programme, they are not just certificate holders; they are already practising insurance professionals.
Upon successful completion, you will earn a Programme Completion Certificate from BMU CCE and step into the role of Assistant Unit Manager at Niva Bupa, one of India’s leading standalone health insurers.

It follows a Hire → Train → Deploy (HTD) model, combining classroom training with a paid internship and leads directly into a full-time role at Niva Bupa.
The Niva Bupa Udaan eligibility criteria requires candidates to be graduates with a minimum of 50% marks, aged 28 years or below and willing to work in a field-sales role.
The Niva Bupa Udaan programme fee structure is INR 47,000 plus applicable taxes, covering the 21-day classroom training. The programme also includes a 2-month paid internship immediately after.
Graduates of the Niva Bupa Udaan career accelerator course join as Assistant Unit Manager, with a CTC of ₹3.10 to ₹3.50 LPA, posted in their home district.
India’s health insurance sector crossed ₹1.2 lakh crore in premiums in FY 2024-25 and is projected to grow to over USD 46 billion by 2030, making it one of the fastest-growing industries for new graduates to build a long-term career in.
The full programme takes about 3 months- 21 days of classroom training followed by a 2-month paid internship, after which candidates who meet performance requirements convert to a full-time Assistant Unit Manager role.
Most HTD courses in health insurance in India offer only classroom training. Udaan adds a structured, paid 2-month internship and ongoing mentorship from Niva Bupa’s business and HR teams, so participants gain real client-facing experience before their final role confirmation.
