The concept of experiential learning dates back to Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics in 350 BC, where he says, “for the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them”.

The four steps involved in this process are as follows:

- Reflective observation
- Abstract Conceptualization
- Active Experimentation.
