    1. CLAT

      The common law entrance examination is a centralized law entrance examination which is conducted for admissions in 19 law universities of India.

      It is basically a non-statutory body formulated under a memorandum of understanding to benefit students seeking admission in various law institutes of India.

      After the commencement of the test, the board presents the list of candidates according to their merit to the universities they have preferred.

      The test is conducted by 19 law universities on a rotational basis and admissions are based on fulfilling criteria of eligibility, reservation, etc. About 43 law institutes in the country accept scores of this exam.

      Aspirants have to write this exam comprising of topics like English, Mathematics, legal aptitude, legal reasoning, and logical reasoning. The maximum number of the exam is about 150 and aspirants have to write the online exam within 2 hours.

    3. AILET

      The All Indian Law examination test is being organized by the National Law University, Delhi to offer admissions in the UG, PG and Doctor Law programs. 

      The university conducts this test to provide admissions to applicants for its 5 years integrated course and 2 years post graduate course.

      In fact, this exam which is usually held once a year offers admission to 83 BA LLB and 20 LLM courses. The AILET exam is held over various examination centers spread over 20 cities.

      The application process of this examination conducted by the NLU Delhi generally begins from the month of January, so interested candidates should register themselves as soon as possible.

    5. LSAT India

      This exam is conducted internationally and students of US and Canada also sit for it at their respective examination centers. One thing which individualizes this test from the rest is that it is a half-day standardized test administered at various selected centers all over the world.

      In India, Pearson VUE is the conducting body of LSAT and the test pattern is designed by the LSAC or Law School Admission Council.

      The exam pattern is designed with the intention of testing skills that are considered to be crucial in all the law schools.

    7. AIBE

      This is another law entrance examination which is held to analyze the capability of a lawyer to practice law in the country.

      The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is organized by the Bar Council of India. Upon clearing the test with decent rank and taking admission in a law college accepting the scores followed by completing the course, candidates would be rewarded the certificate of practice.

      You can opt to write the exam in two modes, either offline or open book mode, as per your preference. This law exam is only applicable for students who want to practice law after completing their graduate and thus no undergraduate students are eligible to write this exam.

    9. ILI CAT

      This is again a university level law entrance exam designed especially for graduates. The Indian Law Institute is the managing body of the exam.

      The exam is being conducted only once a year and the scores would also remain valid for a year, so make sure to take admission before that. The exam mode is offline and you will get 2.5 hours to complete the exam.

      The scores of this exam are being accepted by various colleges of India so check whether your desired law school(s) accept the rank of this entrance test.

    11. SET

      SET which stands for Symbiosis Entrance Test is conducted by the Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission in BBA LLB and BA LLB courses.

      It is a common written test which enables aspirants to pursue the undergraduate course in Symbiosis Law schools situated in Noida and Pune.

      The university offers about 60 seats for the 3-year programs and 300 seats for the 5 years integrated courses. This is one of the most preferred law entrance exams of many students because clearing it allows them to experience the excellent learning programs of Symbiosis.

      The test pattern designed by experts is to actually analyze the accuracy, speed, and merit of law aspirants.  

      The application form of the examination is available in the official website from January and to be eligible for admission in your desired college candidates need to secure at least 45 % marks in their 10+2 exam.

    13. Delhi University Law Entrance Exam

      As you can make out by the title, this law entrance exam is conducted by the Delhi University.

      Upon clearing this exam with decent marks you would be allowed admissions into the law programs run by the faculty of law department under the Delhi University.

      Aspirants who are interested to opt for LLB and LLM programs purely designed by Delhi University should not miss the chance of not sitting for the examination.

    15. HP NLU

      In order to shortlist the best candidates for its law programs, the Himachal Pradesh National Law University or the HPNLU conducts the HP National law entrance test.

      This law entrance test is highly popular for not the residents of Himachal Pradesh but of the entire country due to the content of the programs of BBA/BA LLB, Ph.D. and LLM in law. 

      As HPNET is organized for only a single university the seats are few. 60 seats are allocated for BA/BBA LLB Hons program and 10 seats for the Ph.D. course and 20 seats for the LLM course.

      The mode of the test is offline or pen and paper mode and aspirants are supposed to attend 150 marks within 2 hours.

    17. MH CET

      MHSET stands for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test and is conducted by the Directorate of higher education of Maharashtra.

      Interested candidates upon passing the exam with decent scores have the opportunity to grab a seat of the 3 year LLM program from a total of about 15,040 seats 2018 colleges affiliated to about 11 universities of Maharashtra.

      As for the aspirants who are interested to pursue the 5 years integrated course of LLB, they have the chance of bagging a seat from the offered 10060 seats from 153 colleges of the state. 

      Keep in mind that the mode of this exam is online and you will have to answer 150 objective type questions within 2 hours. Perhaps, the best thing about this law entrance exam is that your marks would not be deducted for any wrong answers.

    19. IPU CET

      This is also an entrance exam held for admission into a particular university, specifically the Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University.

      If you prepare and clear this exam with an excellent score you will be eligible for admissions in any law colleges affiliated with the University. 

      It is usually conducted once a year and the mode of the exam is pen and paper and you will get 2.5 hours for attempting all the questions.

    21. CULEE

      This exam organized to offer admissions to law aspirants in undergraduate law programs such as BA LLB and BBA LLB. The organizing body of CULEE is the esteemed Christ University and it has been organizing the exam to offer admission to its law programs since the last 2 years.

      The test paper of CULEE comprises 120 objective questions divided among various segments like the English language, comprehension skills, general knowledge, current affairs, numerical ability, logical reasoning, etc.

    23. AMU

      AMU law entrance exam is a national level law entrance exam organized for receiving applicants for its undergraduate programs. 

      The Aligarh Muslim University is the managing body of the test and the exam is being held once a year and the tenure is of 2 hours only.

    25. AP LAWCET

      Another law entrance exam, AP LAW SET stands for Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test and is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad.

      Upon clearing this exam you would become eligible to pursue LLB programs of 3 years and 5 years and also other 5 years integrated programs. The exam mode is online and you will receive 1.5 hours to complete the examination.

    27. BHU LLB

      If you are interested to pursue a 3 year LLB program then you can also consider registering for BHU LLB which is conducted by the Banaras Hindu University.

      The exam is usually held on the end of May every year and the application form is being released a few months before that.

      The test paper is divided into various segments including general awareness, English comprehension, common legal knowledge, aptitude, and mental ability, etc.

      You will be offered 2 hours to attempt 150 questions and one positive aspect is there is no negative marking for this examination.

    29. ULSAT

      Every year the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun organizes the UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test, a university level law entrance examination.

      Held in the month of May, this exam offers admission to law aspirants into its B.Com/BA/BBA LLB programs. But, the candidates can also opt for undergraduate programs affiliated to UPS directly without writing this test.

      They would be selected based on their class 12 board merit, CLAT merit or L-SAT merit.
