MBA student Kanika Rathore’s journey to becoming Territory Sales Manager at Hero MotoCorp reflects the difference that right guidance and hands-on experience can make. Leading the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) Society at BMU helped her build a standout profile, while the Placement Committee’s mentorship proved invaluable. “Their mock interviews and continuous feedback ensured I was industry-ready,” she shares. Kanika’s achievement proves that with the right framework and support, students can turn ambition into achievement.

Manya Goel’s MBA journey in Finance shows how industry exposure shapes career trajectories. Through hands-on learning at KPMG during her internship and consistent mentoring at BMU, she gained confidence that set her apart. She secured her final placement at Deloitte as a Tax Consultant, crediting BMU’s mentoring culture for her growth. “The Placement Committee helped me identify my strengths and aim for roles I truly aspired to” she reflects. Her story proves that beyond-classroom support prepares students for top-tier firms.

For students curious about startups, Propel Pitchfest offered an immersive glimpse into entrepreneurship. The on-campus event brought together founders, investors, and experts working across technology, sustainability, and social impact. Students watched live pitches, heard investor feedback, and attended masterclasses on scaling ideas. Dedicated tracks for student-led startups showed that innovation can begin early. By witnessing real entrepreneurial journeys, students gained practical understanding of what it takes to transform ideas into viable businesses.

A LinkedIn workshop by BMU student club Agraga, facilitated by industry expert Anurag Upadhyay (13+ years in digital transformation), helped students understand the platform’s professional power. Participants learned to craft clear headlines, present internships effectively, and highlight skills strategically. Real examples showed what works and what doesn’t. The hands-on approach, which included reviewing and improving profiles during the session, ensured immediate application. Students left equipped to build professional identities that attract recruiters and open doors.

Momentum 3.0 was an event which facilitated over 200 one-on-one conversations between MBA students and senior leaders from Microsoft, Deloitte, Hindustan Unilever, and 20+ global firms. Unlike passive lectures, this forum helped students refine career trajectories and gain insights into high-growth sectors like FinTech and E-commerce. The event exemplified BMU’s industry-aligned pedagogy which translates academic theory into professional readiness through direct engagement with Industry leaders.

“What if everyday travel felt safer for women?” This question sparked Fery Rides, a women-led mobility startup by BMU alumni Ajay Kumar and Vindhya Mehrotra. Operating an all-electric, women-driven fleet, Fery offers reliable, eco-friendly urban rides. “Commuting should be empowering for every woman,” says Vindhya. Incubated at BMU’s Atal Community Innovation Centre, Fery has completed 45,000+ safe rides and raised ₹20.75 million in seed funding, proving how identifying real problems can lead to meaningful impact.

The Start-up & Entrepreneurship Club at BMU hosted “Problem Hunt”—a two-hour challenge where students explored campus to identify genuine issues affecting daily life. They observed spaces, studied user experiences, and pitched findings to mentors. The activity sharpened analytical thinking, creativity, and pitching skills, which are the key foundations of entrepreneurship. Supported by BMU’s innovation ecosystem, the event showed students that every great idea begins with noticing a problem and daring to solve it. Innovation starts with observation.

MBA student Divyansh and his team developed a conceptual Smart Glasses prototype to support visually impaired individuals through voice cues and object-detection navigation. Using PJOE framework (Problem Identification, Justification, Objective Setting, Execution), they focused on understanding mobility challenges often overlooked. “This structure gave our project clear direction,” Divyansh explains. Their mockup emphasized intuitive design with a roadmap for a working model. The team learned that meaningful innovation starts with understanding what problems truly matter for human dignity.
