    BCom

    A Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) is an undergraduate qualification in commerce and affiliated disciplines. This degree prepares students with an extensive array of managerial competencies and insights across areas such as finance, accounting, taxation, and management. Throughout the duration of the programme, students also gain knowledge about the economic dimensions of the business realm, trading intricacies, and the operational and regulatory frameworks within commerce.

    It serves as a foundation, giving students insights into various Commerce fields and opportunities. Unlike B.Com (Hons), it doesn’t allow specialisation in specific subjects, offering a more generalised approach to Commerce education.

    Eligibility: B.Com vs B.Com Honors

    Eligibility for B.Com Honors

    Candidates are required to have completed their secondary education (10+2) from a recognised national or state board institution with a minimum aggregate of 50%. They must have covered accounting, business, and mathematics in their curriculum during the 11th and 12th grades. Admission into B.Com Honors degree programmes at several prestigious universities often necessitates candidates to undergo entrance examinations.

    Eligibility for B.Com

    Candidates must have completed their secondary education (10+2) from a recognised national or state board institution or obtained a 10+3 diploma from a recognised national or state institute. They are expected to have achieved a minimum aggregate of 45% in their secondary education (10+2) or diploma (40% for reserved categories). Moreover, candidates must have chosen Commerce as their mainstream during Class 11 and 12. Additionally, they should have covered compulsory subjects like Accountancy, Business Studies, and Mathematics/Economics during their secondary education (10+2).
